Meet the maker
Hi, I’m Letty Zhang
I love DIY miniature building and creating tiny worlds, from charming miniature houses to beautiful furniture and detailed decorations.
There is something special about a tiny world. A single room, a small piece of furniture or a handful of decorations can tell a whole story, and every detail you add makes it feel more alive.
That is why I started DIY Miniature Building: to share what I enjoy with anyone who wants to try it. You do not need a big workshop or expensive supplies. Many of the projects here use simple tools and affordable, everyday or recycled materials.
My goal is to inspire you with creative ideas, easy tutorials and affordable materials to bring your miniature projects to life. Whether you are building your very first tiny house or adding the finishing touches to a detailed scene, I hope you find something here to spark your next build.
Why from scratch and recycled
Three reasons every project here starts with simple, everyday materials.
Learn by making
Building from scratch teaches you how a miniature really works: measuring, cutting, gluing and fixing mistakes. You finish with skills, not just a finished piece.
A second life for materials
Cardboard boxes, bottle caps, wooden sticks and fabric scraps become walls, furniture and tiny props. It costs almost nothing and keeps useful things out of the bin.
Simple tools, clear scales
Every guide sticks to basic tools and states its scale up front, so your pieces fit together and you can follow along without a workshop.
Our mission
To show that anyone can build a tiny world with simple tools and everyday materials.
